DetailsFrom I-44 near Sullivan, take Hwy 185 south approximately 5 miles past the Meramec Work Station. Turn left onto Rt. K, follow 1.4 miles, turn left onto Spanish Claim Road (gravel). Follow approximately 4.5 miles to the dead-end parking area. Road is entirely gravel and is not well-marked on maps. Remote location.

DetailsGravel parking lot — has been upgraded from formerly muddy conditions. An old concrete silo marks the location. Boats must be carried approximately 100–200 yards to the river, making trailer access impractical.

AmenitiesCarry-in access only. No boat ramp. Trail (100–200 yards) through woods to gravel bar and river — has been cleared and widened in recent years. No restrooms at this specific access point. The broader Meramec Conservation Area offers 10.5 miles of multi-use trails, paved ADA walking path, horseback riding, and 6 caves.

Remote access: Spanish Claim Road is entirely gravel, poorly mapped, and dead-ends at the parking area. Plan accordingly and consider 4WD in wet conditions. The 100–200 yard carry to the river makes this unsuitable for heavy boats.
